Clipse is officially the first hip-hop act confirmed to take the stage at the 2026 Grammy Awards, which will air live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 1.
The brother duo, who hails from Virginia Beach, Va., bagged five Grammy nominations for their seismic comeback album, Let God Sort Em Out, including album of the year, best rap album, best rap performance (“Chains & Whips” with Kendrick Lamar), best rap song (“The Birds Don’t Sing” with John Legend and Voices of Fire) and best music video (“So Be It”).
Let God arrived last summer on July 11, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and earning Clipse its second-ever top 10 album — and first in more than two decades. The acclaimed set also topped Independent Albums and Vinyl Albums, spawning three consecutive Billboard Hot 100 hits in “Ace Trumpets” (No. 78), “So Be It” (No. 62) and “Chains & Whips” (No. 42).
Joining Clipse on stage is 13-time Grammy winner Pharrell Williams, who produced each of the album’s 13 tracks, earning him three Grammy nods. Williams is also nominated for best music film for Piece by Piece, his 2024 Lego-fied animated biopic, bringing his career total to 43 nominations. The 2026 Grammys will mark Williams’ first performances on Music’s Biggest Night since his orchestral rendition of “Happy” at the 2015 ceremony, alongside Hans Zimmer and Lang Lang. His most recent wins came in 2019 for his work on Ariana Grande’s Sweetener (best pop vocal album and producer of the year, non-classical).
Clipse and Williams join a 2026 Grammys performance lineup that already boasts Sabrina Carpenter, who won her first two trophies at last year’s show, and all eight best new artist nominees: Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, Sombr, Lola Young, The Marías, KATSEYE, Addison Rae and Alex Warren.
The 68th annual Grammy Awards will air live on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Trevor Noah will host the show for a sixth consecutive — and final — year. The ceremony will be produced by Fulwell Entertainment for the Recording Academy. Ben Winston, Raj Kapoor, Jesse Collins and Noah are executive producers.
Additional performers will be announced in the coming days.
