dEUS to release Worst Case Scenario/In A Bar Under The Sea as remastered 30th Anniversary editions.

Belgium’s finest alt-rock stalwarts dEUS are set to release 30th Anniversary editions of their first two albums, Worst Case Scenario (1994) and In A Bar Under The Sea (1996) to coincide with their major European tour this spring.

Their already announced tour of Europe kicks off in their native country in March with a couple of intimate shows (at the venue where they first started out in 1993) before moving on to a series of dates across France, UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland and Turkey. See full itinerary and how to obtain tickets below.

The tour is being billed as ‘Worst Case versus In A Bar’ and as a result dEUS will be performing sets focusing primarily on playing in full their two earliest mid-1990s albums that were released to widespread critical acclaim at the time for being ‘defiantly unique genre-straddling art rock with influences as wide ranging as Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Mercury Rev, Smashing Pumpkins, the Velvets, Charles Mingus and all other points in between’.

Coinciding with the tour, dEUS have also announced new remastered and expanded 30th Anniversary reissues of Worst Case Scenario and In A Bar Under The Sea on vinyl and CD formats. The vinyl formats will be a triple LP with associated single b-sides, demos and unreleased bonuses as extras spread across the three discs, complete with associated expanded sleeve artwork, whilst the CD editions will be double discs with enhanced sleeve artwork containing the same extras.

This will be the first time that their second album, In A Bar Under The Sea, has been given the ‘anniversary’ treatment as both Worst Case Scenario and 1999’s commercial watershed breakthrough The Ideal Crash have already enjoyed special anniversary editions on vinyl and CD in the past.

The remastered versions of both albums are scheduled to be released on 20th March 2026 via Play It Again Sam and they can be pre-ordered through all usual online platforms as well as through PIAS.

A Plea From Louder Than War

Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.

To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
