The Amity Affliction have announced their new album, House Of Cards, will be released in just two months. To accompany the announcement, they’ve unveiled the melodic title track and a moving music video.
While the band released their first single to feature new singer and bassist Jonny Reeves last year (All That I Remember), House Of Cards marks their first album starring Reeves.
The new album will be released on Friday, 24 April, via Pure Noise Records. Containing vocalist Joel Birch’s intense, candid lyricism and dynamic instrumentation, the DNA of the band is recognisable from the get-go.
Birch wrote the impactful title track for his siblings, but also for himself. He explores the relationship he, his brother, and his sister shared with their mother: a central figure throughout the album.

“Our mother died in 2024, and none of us had a healthy relationship with her,” Birch explained. “She was very self-involved, aggressive, abusive in our early years and in her later years, spent a good amount of time trying to put a wedge between the three of us. Thankfully, once she passed, the three of us actually became closer as we realised we had individual, but shared trauma related to her.”
House Of Cards is an album that acknowledges trauma and seeks to examine it through a new perspective on life and human relationships. The album is available to pre-order/pre-save here.
This month, The Amity Affliction launch a 21-date regional tour across Australia with special guests In Hearts Wake and RedHook. Following their tour dates at home, they’ll head to North America in April.
In addition to their 2026 touring plans, the band were recently announced as one of the top-billed acts on the second voyage of the Hellbound metal cruise, taking place in January 2027. They’ll perform alongside their peers, Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Alpha Wolf, Thy Art Is Murder, and many others.
House Of Cards arrives after The Amity Affliction have already earned five ARIA #1 albums, over one billion streams, and amassed sold-out tours in domestic and international markets.
