Nicki Minaj is showing off a new gift she received from President Donald Trump.
On Saturday (Feb. 21), the 43-year-old rap star posted a photo on X of a signed copy of the Holy Bible she received from the president.
“One of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever received in my entire life,” Minaj captioned the photo.
Her newly signed “signature edition” copy of the Bible appears to be leather-bound and embossed with the American flag. The cover reads, “Donald J. Trump 45th President of the United States Signature Edition,” featuring Trump’s thick signature beneath the title and “God Bless the USA” written under his mark.
The gift also came with a black pen bearing the president’s signature in gold lettering.
Minaj’s post sparked a wide variety of reactions in the comments section.
“One of the most sacrilegious gifts I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” one commenter wrote. “signing bibles is…..just….NOT it,” another person observed.
A third user questioned, “Can you autograph a book that someone else wrote?” And yet another added, “i really do like you a lot nicki but this feels wrong on so many levels.”
One person shared a meme showing a vintage-style illustration of a young boy asking his father, “So if the Bible says we should help the poor, welcome the foreigner, heal the sick, respect others, not lie, not commit adultery, and not steal, then why do we support Donald Trump?” To which the boy’s well-dressed father replies, “Oh, Billy. We don’t actually practice these things. We only preach them.”
Other commenters, however, expressed support for Minaj.
“God Bless you and President Trump,” one fan wrote. Another added, “That’s an incredibly beautiful gift. One that is passed down for generations. It shows the future how far from the past we have come.” A third fan shared a comical AI-generated image of Trump wearing pink with the caption, “Thank you Lord for showing Nicki the right way of truth and life.”
The president’s Bible gift to Minaj is the latest chapter in their unusual friendship over recent months. Earlier in the week, Trump praised the Young Money rapper during a White House speech, calling Minaj “beautiful” and highlighting her political savvy at a Black History Month event.
“How about Nicki Minaj? Do we love Nicki Minaj? I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple weeks ago. She’s so beautiful,” Trump said. “I said, ‘Nicki, you’re so beautiful.’ Her nails are like that long, I said, ‘Nicki are they real?’ She didn’t want to get into that. But she was so beautiful and so great and she gets it, more importantly.”
Minaj celebrated Presidents’ Day on Feb. 16 by posting an AI-generated photo of herself riding in a convertible with Trump while counting money. She also attended the Trump-backed World Liberty Forum event on Wednesday (Feb. 18), where she served as a keynote speaker for the “Owning the Culture: The Business of Music in a Creator-Led Economy” panel.
The Queens icon first met the president at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., in January, where she stood alongside him and called herself the “president’s No. 1 fan.”
Minaj has been vocal about her support for the Trump administration in recent months. In an appearance on podcaster Katie Miller’s show earlier in February, she said that the criticism Trump faced motivated her to be more outspoken in his defense.
