Dynamite Songs expands its catalog with acquisitions from singer-songwriter Joan Osborne and Canadian composer Lou Pomanti.

Dynamite Songs, a self-titled specialist music publisher dedicated to acquiring and managing smaller catalogs with culturally significant songs, has acquired the publishing rights to songs written by Grammy-nominated American singer-songwriter Joan Osborne and by Lou Pomanti, Gemini Award-winning Canadian composer and producer. The two transactions add nearly 300 works to Dynamite’s growing catalog.

These acquisitions are the latest in a series of deals that have carefully but efficiently expanded Dynamite’s catalog since the company officially launched in May 2025. Previous investments include songs performed by Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Avicii, The Black-Eyed Peas, and Tinie Tempah. Dynamite’s portfolio now comprises over 1,300 hits ranging from the early 1990s to the present day, across a variety of genres.

“What unites both these catalogs is the strength of the craft behind them,” said Alan Wallis, Dynamite Songs CEO. “Ensuring that brilliant songwriting gets the attention and care it deserves has always been central to our work at Dynamite, and I’m so glad that both Joan and Lou have chosen to partner with us.”

“Finding the right home for these songs mattered to me,” said Joan Osborne. “They represent some of the most personal writing of my career, and I wanted them to be with people who really understood their emotional resonance and cultural importance. Alan and his team grasp that, and came to the conversation with genuine knowledge of the music and real care for the craft behind it.”

“When my broker first contacted me saying he had a buyer for my music catalog, I pictured a faceless corporate entity that was gobbling up everything in its path. I couldn’t have been more wrong,” added Lou Pomanti. “When we spoke, it became clear that Alan is a lifelong music lover and aficionado who knew intimate details of my catalog. We talked for over an hour, and by the end I realized I was doing more than selling my catalog. I was joining the Dynamite family.”

Dynamite’s deal with Joan Osborne sees the company acquire the worldwide publishing rights, co-owned with UMPG, to all songs written or co-written by Joan Osborne, along with her neighboring rights royalties. These include songs from Osborne’s debut album, Relish (1995)—such as “St. Teresa,” “Crazy Baby,” “Ladder,” “Spider Web,” “Lumina,” and “Pensacola”—which earned her Grammy nominations and sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone.

The company’s deal with Lou Pomanti comprises 100% of the writer’s and publisher’s shares of worldwide public performance income for all musical compositions written in whole or in part by Pomanti. These works include compositions written by Pomanti for a wide variety of television and film works across major broadcasters, such as his scores for “The Ron James Show” (CBC), “MegaBuilders” and “Mighty Planes” (Discovery Channel), “Chop Socky Chooks” (Teletoon/Cartoon Network), and “Take This House and Sell It” (HGTV).

In addition to his composition and scoring, Pomanti is perhaps best known internationally for his work with Michael Bublé, including arrangements for his Grammy-winning album Crazy Love. Pomanti has also worked with Gordon Lightfoot, Anne Murray, and Blood, Sweat & Tears vocalist David Clayton-Thomas.
