The former White Stripes frontman made his sixth musical guest appearance on the show last night (April 4), performing two new songs – ‘G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs’ and ‘Derecho Demonico’.
It came only a day after he released the two new tracks on Friday, with ‘G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs’ drawing on images and ideas from Adam and Eve and featuring White in full classic blues guitar shredding mode, while ’Derecho Demonico’ is a studio version of a track that White premiered during his ‘No Name’ tour in 2025.
White has produced both songs, and they feature backing from his regular live band – Patrick Keeler (drums), Dominic Davis (bass), and Bobby Emmet (keys).
Check out his performances below.
It marks the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s first new music since his Grammy-nominated 2024 album ‘No Name’, which NME awarded four stars and noted: “This is an ode to the mystique of rock’n’roll and to the joy of music at its most physical and playful.
“Teasing doesn’t always lead to satisfaction. Just cut to the chase – and this one’s a bone-rattling ride. White’s revelling in the real world and has made it a much more thrilling place.”
White is also heading out on the road in Europe later this year, with dates kicking off in Latvia on May 30 and wrapping in Belgium on June 17. See the full list here and find any remaining tickets here.
The musician has also been continuing his tirade against Donald Trump in recent months, which most recently has seen him criticising plans to put the President’s signature on all new US paper currency.
He also recently called for Trump’s removal from office after a racist meme was shared on his social media account that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.
Trump and White also traded insults last August, with White describing the Oval Office redesign as “vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy”, and the White House hitting back by calling the musician a “has-been loser”.
Elsewhere, White recently announced on Instagram that his mother Teresa Gillis had passed away at the age of 95, while he also defended his comments about Taylor Swift’s songwriting style.
White’s first visual art show is set to open in London this spring. Titled ‘These Thoughts May Disappear’, the gallery will open at Damien Hirst’s Newport Street Gallery on May 29 and run until September 13.
