Music is in bloom at the end of the first full week of April, with Lady Gaga and Doechii, KATSEYE and more releasing bouquets of fresh tracks for fans to enjoy.
On Friday (April 10), Mother Monster and the Swamp Princess teamed up for their first-ever collab, “Runway” — a fittingly named single that will appear on the Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack. The Bruno Mars cowritten track is so chic and sassy that even Miranda Priestly would like it.
EYEKONs were also treated to a new release from their favorite girl group, receiving “Pinky Up” — which is possibly the most experimental song KATSEYE has dropped yet. It also comes at a bittersweet time, as the band’s usual six is now down to five with Manon on hiatus. But Daniela, Lara, Megan, Yoonchae and Sophia proved that they’re holding down the fort just fine in the meantime, mixing techno and hyperpop on their thumping new single.
Also new on streaming services is a song from The Strokes, which dropped “Going Shopping” ahead of new album Reality Awaits — the band’s first LP in six years. Both the rock group and KATSEYE are gearing up to play Coachella April 10-12.
Plus, Alabama Shakes is back with “American Dream,” while Tiny Habits lets loose on “Right in Front of Me.”
But which of those new projects is your favorite as spring fully gets underway? As always, Billboard wants to know. Tell us which music release you have on repeat by voting in the poll below.
