The event honoring the legendary punk club in New York’s East Village that beginning in 1973 was the launching pad for the first wave of American punk acts such as the Ramones, Smith, Television, Blondie and the Talking Heads, among many others, will take place on Sept. 26 at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn.

Also on this year’s bill, classic acts Bikini Kill, Agnostic Front, Buzzcocks, Circle Jerks and Haywire, as well as contemporary acts keeping the flame alive such as Upchuck, Militarie Gun, High Vis, Bad Nerves and Panic Shack. Violet Grohl, daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, will take the stage to perform songs from her upcoming debut album, Be Sweet to Me (May 29). Also slated to perform is The Return of Jackie and Judy, the Ramones tribute band featuring Sleater-Kinney and SNL vet and drummer Fred Armisen.

“Building on last year’s CBGB Festival, we’ve worked hard to create an even stronger experience for fans this year,” said CBGB’s Phil Sandhaus in a statement. “For decades, CBGB defined the punk scene and helped shape a generation of music lovers in New York and beyond. This year’s lineup honors that legacy while celebrating the past, present, and future of punk and alternative music. No other festival on the East Coast offers that.”

Last year’s festival featured headliners Iggy Pop and Jack White, along with former Smiths guitarist and solo performer Johnny Marr, former Ramones drummer Marky Ramone, the Damned, Melvins, Gorilla Biscuits, Murphy’s Law, Cro-Mags, The Linda Lindas, Lambrini Girls and more.
