Team Kelly is coming back for another round, with NBC announcing Thursday (May 7) that Kelly Clarkson will return as a coach for the 30th season of The Voice.
The news was shared via a video posted to the network and TV series’ official Instagram accounts. “She’s baaaaack,” reads text over a montage of clips of the vocalist hard at work as a coach.
Clarkson has been advising singers on The Voice on and off since its 14th season, most recently serving on the panel during the most recent season. Fellow show veteran Adam Levine — whose team won season 30 thanks to singer Alexia Jayy — will also come back for the next round, as previously announced.
The “Since U Been Gone” singer has been scheduling her time carefully this year, announcing in February that her Daytime Emmy-winning talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, will come to an end after seven seasons this fall. The decision came after the death of her ex-husband, music manager Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children.
“Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she shared on Instagram at the time. “This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next.”
Clarkson last dropped music in May 2025, when she released single “Where Have You Been.” Her most recent album, Chemistry, came out in 2023, reaching No. 6 on the Billboard 200 — a chart she’s topped three times.
