Wales’s largest independent music, science and arts festival returns for 2026 with a stacked line-up. Fans of all genres will have plenty to sink their teeth into.
The headliners of this year’s Green Man highlight the festival’s roving musical taste; kicking the proceedings off on Thursday are post-rock legends Mogwai, with alt-country mainstays Wilco following on Friday. Then on Saturday night, Four Tet returns to the Mountain Stage after his dazzling headline set in 2019, before Mercury Prize-winners Wolf Alice close out the festival on Sunday. All four artists are titans in their respective genres and each are guaranteed to dazzle in their own way.
The weekend will also see performances from some of the most exciting rising acts in music, including Aldous Harding (who also delivered an incredible Mountain Stage set in 2019), Wednesday, Horsegirl, Mannequin Pussy, Westside Cowboy and breakout Norwegian pop duo Smerz. These newer stars are balanced out by a slew of older favourites; the recently reunited Beta Band – who were impossible to catch on tour last year – are sure to deliver a characteristically eclectic performance, while Cat Power is set to celebrate twenty years of her era-defining album, The Greatest. Elsewhere, Bristol legends Tricky and Roni Size will transport the Welsh mountains back to the nineties. In addition to Green Man 2026’s stacked musical line-up, attendees to the already sold-out festival can expect film screenings, comedy, talks and art installations, all situated in the incomparably picturesque Brecon Beacons. If this year’s festival manages to be half as exhilarating as previous outings, then everyone attending is guaranteed to have a very, very good time.
