Brent Faiyaz snags his second No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart with Icon, which debuts in the top slot of the list dated Feb. 28. The album, released through ISO Supremacy/UnitedMasters, begins with 58,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the tracking week of Feb. 13-19, according to Luminate.

Of Icon’s 58,000 units for its first week, streaming activity contributes the largest share: 44,500 units, a figure equal to 45.7 million official on-demand audio and video streams of the album’s songs; 13,500 units derive from traditional album sales, with a negligible amount of track sales. (One unit equals the following levels of consumption: one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 1,000 paid/subscription tier or 2,500 ad-supported tier of official on-demand audio and video streams for a song on the album.)

Before Icon, Brent Faiyaz ruled the Top R&B Albums chart with Wasteland, which led for one week in July 2022. Both of his other charting projects, the 2020 EP Fuck the World and 2023’s Larger Than Life mixtape, peaked at No. 2.

Elsewhere, Icon starts at No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Alongside a chart-topping debut, Icon sends nine of its 10 tracks onto the Hot R&B Songs chart. “Butterflies.” leads the pack, at No. 6, and was Icon’s most-streamed song of the week (6.4 million).
