Kid Rock is headlining Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show, set to stream on conservative websites during the official NFL event on Sunday.

Kid Rock will headline Turning Point USA’s Bad Bunny-less alternative halftime show, which will stream exclusively on conservative media. Conveniently during the same time slot that Bad Bunny is performing for the official Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.

The conservative organization had previously revealed its plan to protest Bad Bunny’s performance with their own show, but now the roster has been officially announced. In addition to Kid Rock, the lineup includes country singers Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett. The Turning Point USA website says further musicians will be announced in the coming days.

“[Bad Bunny] said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America,” said Kid Rock. “We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible… or is it?”

Rumors have circulated in far-right spaces that Bad Bunny would be wearing a dress during his halftime show performance, but that claim has been denied by those involved in the production.

The Turning Point event will be broadcast on conservative outlets like OAN News, religious broadcaster TBN, and on Turning Point’s official social media channels. The organization was founded by far-right figure Charlie Kirk, who was gunned down last year during a public appearance.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny’s commanding presence at the Grammy Awards on Sunday inspired NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to reaffirm his support for the Puerto Rican superstar’s halftime headliner spot. Goodell told the press on Monday that Bad Bunny proved he is “one of the great artists in the world.”

“Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night, one of the great artists in the world. That’s one of the reasons we chose him,” said Goodell. “But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on, and that this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talent, and to be able to use this moment to do that. I think artists in the past have done that; I think Bad Bunny understands that, and I think he’ll have a great performance.”

At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Bad Bunny used his acceptance speech for winning the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album to condemn recent militarized actions across the United States and to uplift immigrant voices.

“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out,” said Bad Bunny. “We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans. […] The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.”
