Latto & 21 Savage Relationship Timeline

The first collaboration between Latto and 21 Savage came on 2020’s “Pull Up.” The song resided on Latto’s Queen of the Souf and was a taste of things to come between the ATL lovebirds.

Not long after, rumors swirled when both rappers posted similar locations online. Fans speculated that they were on a vacation in Puerto Rico for Latto’s birthday.

Continuing the speculation, internet detectives searched for additional evidence. They stumbled across a significant clue when Latto posted another vacation picture. This time, many claimed the shadow in the photo belonged to 21. Despite the chatter, both parties remained mum on the fiery rumors.

Fast forward to 2022, the hotly rumored couple added more fuel to the fire with their second collaboration, “Wheelie.” The single, featured on Latto’s album 777, showcased their in-studio chemistry, as she discussed in an interview with Apple.

“[21 Savage and I] already had a relationship because of my previous album. We had a song called ‘Pull Up’. When I heard ‘Wheelie’, after I did the first verse, I’m like, ‘I don’t even want to do the second verse,’ so I’m thinking of people that would be perfect for that sound. It reminded me of ‘Pull Up’, as far as that sticky, choppy, catchy flow. He put the second verse on there, sent it right back. That’s Atlanta culture, strip-club culture—that’s the ratchet song, the turn-up song on the album.”

Later that year, while appearing on Clubhouse, Savage vehemently denied having a “celebrity relationship” to nix the chit-chat about him and Latto. “I’ve been hot for a long time. I don’t do all the antics and sh*t. I don’t got a celebrity girlfriend,” he said on the platform.

In what many considered the first domino to fall, photos of Latto’s new tattoo had the internet buzzing. Behind her ear, a new tattoo was written in red: “Shéyaa.” The name is 21’s legal first name. Later, fans spotted “Alyssa” — Latto’s government name — tatted in red behind 21’s ear.

An avid video game player, Latto’s affinity for The Sims was on display when she posted a screenshot of her character giving birth at home. The male figure resembled 21 and piqued fans’ interest. This sparked hilarious online discourse, as Latto reveled in the gossip.

While promoting her album Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Latto sat down with Apple Music and shut down folks who wanted to know about her relationship status. “It ain’t really nobody’s business,” she said. “Like, listen to the music, and you’ll know what you need to know.”

For the third time, vacation photos circulated online. Though it’s hard to tell whether it’s 21 and Latto, another picture surfaced of the “Bank Account” rapper posing with fans at a restaurant in St. Vincent. One commenter alleged that, despite Latto not being in the photo, she was indeed there.

While gallivanting through New York City, Latto was spotted by TMZ and briefly spoke to them for an interview. After bragging about heading to dinner with her “husband,” the publication asked whether she was tired of the rumors about her and 21, to which she responded, “No.” My man, my man, my man!”

Third time’s a charm for Savage and Latto, as this time, they’re a bit more brazen and bold about their relationship on “Pop It”. Latto doesn’t mince words, rapping: “F—ing on this British man / Crib look like the Buckingham,” nimbly playing off 21’s U.K. background.

This collaboration comes shortly after 21’s feature on Hunxho’s “If Only,” where he also spills some interesting lyrics about his lovelife: “Ain’t no pullin’ out, she told me keep it in / I done fell in love with the cheetah print.”

After teasing a new era on Thursday night (March 19), Latto not only unveils her latest single, “Business & Personal,” but also pregnancy news. The video pays homage to her motherhood journey, and features a gorgeous bump, allegedly showcasing the hand of 21 Savage, signaling the next step in their road together.
