MusicBird has acquired the publishing catalog of R&B duo Majid Jordan, expanding the boutique rights company’s holdings with a body of work that includes both the duo’s own songs and their collaborations. The deal covers the writers’ and publishers’ shares of Majid Al‑Maskati and Jordan Ullman’s catalog, including fan‑favorites such as “Her,” “Gave Your Love Away” and “Stars Align,” along with their co‑writing credits on global hits like Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and DJ Khaled’s “For Free.”

The acquisition follows MusicBird’s recent deal with the estate of grunge-era producer Rick Parashar, marking another step in the company’s strategy of investing in established catalogs. MusicBird’s portfolio now includes more than 2,000 songs from several hundred artists, managed in collaboration with publishers, labels and industry stakeholders to maximize long‑term income and valuation growth.

Formed in 2011, Majid Jordan rose to prominence through Drake’s OVO Sound, earning international recognition with “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Alongside their work as artists, the pair has co‑written and co‑produced tracks for Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and other major global acts. Their catalog has generated billions of streams, cementing their influence in contemporary R&B and pop production.

MusicBird CEO Paul Brown said Majid Jordan’s body of work aligns with the company’s focus on “proven, long‑term success,” adding that the duo’s catalog offers both pedigree and future growth potential. “Their music also has plenty of potential to find new fans, providing a significant opportunity to grow the value of these songs in the coming years,” he said.

MusicBird’s broader holdings span publishing, masters, neighboring rights, and producer royalties tied to recordings by artists including Rihanna, Alice In Chains, Nickelback, Shaggy and more.
