Netflix has announced it will stream BTS first concert in more than three years, as well as a full feature-length documentary about the powerhouse Kpop group.

RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will take the stage as a unit in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square. The first live performances of songs off of their upcoming fifth studio album, ARIRANG will take center stage among others. ARIRANG is releasing on March 20, a day before the live concert in Seoul.

BTS: THE RETURN is a BTS documentary film showcasing the making of the ARIRANG album and will arrive on Netflix on March 27. The BTS comeback concert will stream exclusively on Netflix on March 21 at 4 am PT / 7 am ET. Following the live concert, BTS will embark on their ARIRANG World Tour, which will feature 82 shows across the globe in 34 regions.

BTS took a hiatus from touring and performing in December 2022, driven by South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements. Each member of the group enlisted for their 18 months of service. While the first members of the group were away, some members released solo work. Jin and j-hope were discharged in 2024, while RM, V, Jimin, Jung Kook, and SUGA were all discharged in June 2025.

The BTS documentary was directed by Bao Nguyen, and renowned producers This Machine and HYBE. The feature-length documentary will serve as a companion to the upcoming live concert and chronicles the long-awaited return of BTS and the making of their fifth studio album. The film will offer rare behind-the-scenes looks at the group as they reunited to chart an unprecedented path forward.

After completing their mandatory military service, the seven members meet up in Los Angeles to make music together. They return to a shared creative space after being shaped by time apart and personal change. For the next chapter, each member of the group reflects on their whirlwind past as they contemplate what the future of BTS will look like.
