Lorde launched the New Zealand leg of her Ultrasound World Tour at Auckland’s Spark Arena last night (11 February) and has thus offered an indication of what to expect ahead of her Australian tour dates.

Touring in support of her latest album, Virgin, released last June, fans will hear every song from her latest record – not played from start to finish, but instead, interspersed alongside numerous fan favourites.

Melodrama and Pure Heroine were the next most represented albums the Royals singer performed in Auckland last night, with hits including Green Light, Ribs, Perfect Places, and Team. Solar Power fans will only hear two tracks from the album – Big Star and Oceanic Feeling.

In Auckland, Lorde performed a special rendition of the latter, partially performing the traditional form of waiata. You can find the first setlist from New Zealand below as we prepare for Lorde’s return to Australia.

Following her New Zealand dates, which conclude at Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch tomorrow (13 February), Lorde heads to Australia for another six shows.

She’s set to perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Monday, 16 February, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (Wednesday, 18 February, and Thursday, 19 February), Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena (Saturday, 21 February, and Sunday, 22 February), and Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday, 25 February.

You can find remaining—and just released—tickets to the shows on the Frontier Touring website.

For the Australian and New Zealand leg of the tour, Lorde is accompanied by special guest Kevin Abstract of BROCKHAMPTON fame. Lorde last toured Australia in March 2023 in support of her 2021 record, Solar Power. That tour marked her first shows Down Under in six years.

Following its release, Virgin debuted at #1 on the Australian and New Zealand album charts and features the hit singles What Was That, Man Of The Year, and Hammer.

In a recent cover story interview with The Music, Lorde explained that she called her latest album Virgin due to a “rebirth” she experienced in 2023.

She explained, “I changed a lot about my life, and I took away a lot of the structures that I had relied upon to be like, ‘This is my life, and I know what I’m doing.’ My vibe for a long time had been: I got this. I think a lot about this album is choosing to not know where it’s going to go, and let it happen to you.”
