The Jungle Giants Announce 2026 Australian Tour

It’s a good time to be a fan of Queensland indie rockers The Jungle Giants, with the band just announcing the title of their forthcoming album and extensive tour dates in Australia and New Zealand.

For their upcoming tour, which begins on Friday, 5 June, The Jungle Giants will be accompanied by special guests The Tullamarines and Tear Drive.

The tour will see the band make stops in Castlemaine, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Forth, Hobart, Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Perth, concluding the run on Saturday, 18 July. You can find the list of dates and venues below.

Multiple pre-sale options are available for interested punters. The Super Fan pre-sale – a mobile opt-in service – is already open. The Spotify and Fan pre-sale will be available today from 10 am – sign up here for access – followed by the general sale on Tuesday, 10 March, at 10 am local time. In addition to their headline tour, The Jungle Giants will appear at a handful of festivals from March to May, including the Good Gumnuts Festival in Brisbane, Here Comes The Sun in Torquay, Margaret River, and the Gold Coast, and the Big Chill Festival in Armidale, NSW.

After dropping the energetic single Tell Me How It Feels last month, The Jungle Giants have announced that their next album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, will be released on Friday, 8 May.

Fans and Sam Hales alike can relate to the album title, and the songs within that explore hopeful exuberance alongside crushing personal loss. The album comes after Hales believed he couldn’t write a song ever again.

“I’d overextended and kind of cooked it, but I really found myself,” he explained in a statement. “That’s where the joy comes from, having this unwavering hope even after experiencing adversity. This record is what everything culminated in for me, because I’m so in love with it and I’m so addicted to music again.”
