Aespa have teamed up with BigBang‘s G-DRAGON for their new single ‘WDA (Whole Different Animal)’ and announced details of their new album.

The K-pop girl group will soon release their second studio album ‘LEMONADE’ on May 29 via SM Entertainment (pre-order/pre-save here). The recod is said to showcase “the group’s expanded musical range across electronic dance, hip-hop, rock, and R&B pop”.

To celebrate, they’ve shared the first taste of the record, ‘WDA’, which pairs primal, body-shaking beats with sleek, sweltering synths. The song also features G-DRAGON rapping throughout, proclaiming boldly: “She a whole different animal”.

The group have also released a trippy, surreal music video alongside the track, where the band members blur and morph into each other. Watch the video below:

Aespa are soon to embark on their ‘COMPLæXITY’ world tour, which begins on August 7 with a two-night residency at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome.

From there, they’ll wrap up their Asian leg with a show at the Taipei Dome, before heading off on their Latin American leg in São Paulo on September 4.

After travelling through the US, they’ll land in the UK and Europe for a run of dates in January 2027. Beginning at Manchester’s AO Arena on the 14th, they’re also set to play a huge show at London’s O2 Arena on the 16th. They’ll then travel through Europe until their final show at Paris’ Accor Arena.

Tickets are on sale now, with UK tickets available to purchase here and US tickets here – see all dates below:

Elsewhere, we spoke to the girl group last September, where member NingNing told us about their hopes for the future.

“We always have high expectations and look forward to something, but it doesn’t always come true,” she told us. “So instead of focusing on that, we want to always deliver what’s best and also try very hard and keep that positive energy within us. If we do that, we can then achieve more than expected and get what we don’t even expect in the future.”
