Kacey Musgraves has been confirmed for a surprise last-minute slot at Coachella 2026 this weekend. Find all the details below.

The country singer-songwriter will perform at weekend two of this year’s festival in Indio, California. She is scheduled to appear between 3-3:50pm on Saturday (April 18) at the Mojave Tent, where Jack White played during weekend one.

Coachella shared the full stage times for the second run of the festival’s 2026 edition today (Wednesday April 15). Musgraves has since posted the Saturday bill on her Instagram Stories feed.

She had previously teased the forthcoming set on social media. The video showed some artwork inspired by her seventh studio album, ‘Middle Of Nowhere’, at the side of the road. “Somewhere on the way to ★ 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂 ★,” she wrote in the caption.

Musgraves last performed at Coachella in 2019, when she ran the crowd through the viral “yee-haw” call-and-response moment. Reviewing that slot, NME praised Musgraves for “making country cool”.

“It feels a little too early to tell if Musgraves is about to have a Taylor Swift moment and go completely pop, but, in the meantime, she’s doing a fine job of changing perceptions of her country roots,” it read.

Musgraves is due to release the follow-up to 2024’s ‘Deeper Well’ on Friday May 1. It’ll feature the recent single ‘Dry Spell’, as well as contributions from Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov.

The star took home a Grammy at the 2025 awards, winning in the Best Country Song category for her track ‘The Architect’ from ‘Deeper Well’.

In a three-star review of Musgraves’ latest record, NME wrote: “‘Deeper Well’ vibrates with the excitement of a fresh start. The sixth LP from country crossover star Kacey Musgraves lives in a state of suspended animation, reeling out self-care mantras without worrying if they will seem embarrassing years later.

“Musgraves’ assertiveness feels like a real glimmer of light amid the sparse compositions that run through this thoughtful, imperfect, down-to-earth record.”

The Coachella 2026 headliners are Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G.

Elsewhere at weekend one, The Strokes made a subtle dig at Jeff Bezos during their first set at the festival in 15 years, while Sombr surprised fans by duetting with Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan. Young Thug also brought out Camila Cabello.

Karol G’s historic headline set featured Becky G, new material with Cigarettes After Sex, and more. Meanwhile, The xx made their long-awaited return to the desert, as David Byrne brought theatrics and choreography to the stage.
