Laufey’s collaboration with Fortnite sees the jazz-pop star bringing her recent ‘A Matter Of Time’ arena tour to Festival.

Laufey’s third album ‘A Matter Of Time’ came out last year, while the deluxe ‘The Final Hour’ edition was released earlier this month. In support of the record, Laufey has been touring arenas around the world, including a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena in March, and will perform at Coachella this weekend on the Outdoor stage in between Foster The People and Bigbang.

Earlier this week, Epic Games announced that Laufey would also be the headline artist of Fortnite Festival season 14, which goes live today (April 16). A gorgeous, animated launch video sees Laufey performing in a jazz club before being transported to the world of Fortnite.

As part of the collaboration, fans can get hold of three Laufey skins inspired by outfits she’s worn on-stage during the ‘A Matter Of Time’ tour as well as backblings that echo the stage design.

“I’ve been keeping this a secret for a while now and today’s the day I can finally announce it to the world – I’m going to be in Fortnite,” Laufey said in a behind-the-scenes clip. The Lover Girl outfit is one of Laufey’s “favourite looks” and is a copy of the dress she wore in the music video for the song. It comes with a Mei Mei backbling. “I’m kinda obsessed with her,” said Laufey and the toy bunny also features on the special weapon wrap.

‘Tough Luck’ and ‘Lover Girl’ will both feature as Jam Tracks and have their own emotes “inspired” by Laufey’s concert moves. “I also had to have an outfit change, this is a very special tour dress which has a reactive style so it changes colours.” They included the clock from the ‘A Matter Of Time’ stage design as a backbling in the collab too, as well as the ‘Madwoman’ Jam Track, special ‘Auras’ and more. “This is real, I’m in Fortnite… wow,” added Laufey.

The new update also brings a karaoke mode to Fortnite Festival, so you can sing along to your favourite Laufey tracks and the 600 others that feature in the game.

In other news Marty O’Donnell, the composer of Halo and Destiny, is running for US Congress again but this time, he has the support of Donald Trump.
