Zhamira (real name: Zhamira Zambrano) signed with UTA for global representation in all areas, Billboard can exclusively announce Tuesday (May 19). The agency will represent the breakout Venezuelan pop artist across live touring, media, brand partnerships, film and TV opportunities, as well as strategic business ventures worldwide.
The news of the agreement comes in the midst of Zhamira’s first-ever U.S., Latin American and European tour, Sanación En Vivo, whcih kicked off April 29 in Puerto Rico and will wrap Sept. 13 in Spain. The trek is in support of her 2025 debut studio, Curita Para El Corazón, which demonstrates her evolution as an artist and new motherhood era through through pop-urban fusions and romantic balladry.
In 2016, Zhamira was featured in the second season of Univision’s reality competition series La Banda. In 2023, she earned her first entry on a Billboard chart with the dulcet bachata “Estrellita,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Tropical Airplay tally. The following year, she peaked at No. 3 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart with the heartfelt ballad “Extrañándote” in collaboration with Puerto Rican artist and her husband, Jay Wheeler. That same year, the power couple became first-time parents to a baby girl named Aiunii.
When asked about her biggest accomplishment, the former Billboard Latin Artist on the Rise said: “In life, being a mom. That’s the best thing that’s happened to me. Professionally, I have to say that my first-ever tour is completely sold out. That’s something I never imagined would happen.”
